Written On Skin
In 2017, Ozero Arts brought George Benjamin’s celebrated opera, Written on Skin to the Mariinsky Theatre in an ‘electrifying’ semi-staging. This was followed two years later with the Russian premiere of Lessons in Love and Violence in partnership with the London Chamber Orchestra.
These two large-scale tours were the culmination of a multi-year cultural exchange to St. Petersburg which saw Ozero Arts facilitate the Russian premieres of several key 20th- and 21st-century works - at the Mariinsky Theatre and St. Petersburg Philharmonia - including Maxwell Davies Eight Songs for a Mad King, Walton Façade, Ligeti Aventures & Nouvelles Aventures and Birtwistle The Triumph of Time.
